SIACAD eBDAS is an add-on module for computing Buildability Scores (BScore). The requirement is specific for Singapore projects, with the recent emphasis on BIM, SIACAD have developed the eBDAS BIM as an “Add-In” for Revit / ArchiCAD (IFC).

This post will show how to set up the IFC translators for your ARCHICAD project before exporting it for eBDAS BScore computation.

Continuing the previously started thread of highlighting elements with certain properties in ARCHICAD for BIM submission to BCA (Singapore), this post will present another way of showing the above mentioned using the Building Material properties and Pen Sets.
Fire resistance is in close connection with the materials so this method provides somewhat better control and automatism then using the Mark-Up Tools.
We can create a pen set that we use for representation without the highlights and a different one for the highlights. The biggest advantage of using the different Pen Sets is that we can store the chosen option in the Views.
One of the key submission issues to BCA in Singapore is to highlight the elements by certain properties. While it can be easily solved in Revit by setting Filter Rules (in details here) or using the Color Splasher add-in it needs a workaround in ARCHICAD as for now, but thanks to the increasing demand for the feature this will probably change soon with one of the major updates of ARCHICAD. Until then, don’t let this stop you from using it if it suits more your design needs as there is always a solution!
