Sandor Bali

– MSc. Architect and Engineer, 2009 (HU); BSc. Constructing Architect, 2011 (DK)
– BIM Implementation Architect and GRAPHISOFT Registered Consultant

Sandor is a GRAPHISOFT Registered Consultant working with ARCHICAD since 2003. As an architect and BIM modeler he was involved in refurbishment projects in Zanzibar and Denmark.
He worked at GRAPHISOFT Headquarters as a Business Development Manager /
BIM Implementation Architect, specialized in energy evaluation with EcoDesigner STAR and was responsible for ARCHICAD feature demos, trainings and implementation before moving to Singapore in 2015.

Sandor conducts regular ARCHICAD trainings and workshops at basic and advanced levels, including modeling, documentation, model auditing and MEP Modeler.
He is training around 150 participants yearly since 2015 of architectural practices, contractors and interior designers, including large accounts such as A61, P&T, Surbana Jurong, HDB, Aedas, etc. and is a guest lecturer at NUS Department of Building.

Currently he is focusing on implementation, workflow and content development – such as GDL object creation, submission templates, the Integrated Model Workflow – and technical support for ARCHICAD in Singapore.
Supports the GRAPHISOFT partner channel across South-East Asia.

An IT and BIMcloud enthusiast.

Author of the Revit – ARCHICAD & BIMx Workflow Guide, the AEC Workflow Guide (ARCHICAD-based OPEN BIM workflow for design phases), Land Surveyors’ Workflow Guide, the Architectural Native BIM Submission Guide, the Structural Submission Template Guide and the MEP Submission Template Guide for ARCHICAD in collaboration with the Singapore government agencies since 2015.

Chidambaram

Chidambaram has 15 years of experience in implementing BIM – in an ‘open platform’-based collaborative environment in design, construction and FM stages of life cycle of built assets. He has been involved with ARCHICAD since 2000, when he built his first BIM model using the software for automatic code-compliance checking system developed for Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Singapore. He also have more that 5 years of experience with BIM tools like REVIT, Navisworks, Design Review, CostX, Solibri Model Checker, Tekla BIMSight, Tekla, etc. As part of the BIM implementation team at BCA he has significant experience in providing BIM implementation consultancy to Consultants, Contractors and major Government Procurement Entities (GPE) in Singapore. During this period he also facilitated the Contractor’s BIM Managers Workgroup. His main projects at BCA included:

  • Architectural BIM submission in native format – pilot project
  • BIM Essential Guide for Collaborative Virtual Design and Construction
  • BIM Essential Guide for Contractors
  • Singapore BIM Guide
  • Step-by-Step BIM Guide for Public Housing
  • Structural BIM e-Submission Guideline and Template

He also participated in the content development of BIM courses and regularly conducted BIM lectures at BCA Academy and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

    do you have something on how to make a WBS with archicad? thanks a lot

      In Archicad we can use the combination of Classification, Layers, Partial Structural Display and Hotlink Modules to define WBS. You can add custom property to add additional details to the elements. We will prepare an article soon and share.
